Our Achievements

Establishment and Growth

Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies & Industries (SIATI) was established in April 1991 with a mission to create useful interaction with Indian and International Aerospace companies, R&D organisations and Academic Institutions for growth of Aerospace companies through partnership. SIATI has nurtured several aerospace companies and achieved to make them major suppliers and exporters to major Aircraft Industries like HAL, Boeing Airbus etc. and some of them have grown to become public limited companies.

International Co-operation

SIATI has established relationship with 'MOUs' with similar international organisations like ADS (UK), GIFAS (FRANCE), BDLI (GERMANY), SJAC (JAPAN), AAA (AUSTRALIA), AIAC (CANADA) etc.

IIAEM - International Institute for Aerospace Engineering and Management

SIATI conceived and established "International Institute for Aerospace Engineering and Management" (IIAEM) jointly with Jain Universitywith active support of HAL & other industries, ISRO, NAL and DRDO.

AASSC - Aviation and Aerospace Sector Skill Council

SIATI as one of the promoters established "Aviation and Aerospace Sector Skill Council" supported by Ministry of Skill Development, GOI.

InAQG - Indian Aerospace Quality Group

SIATI along with HAL formed InAQG (Indian Aerospace Quality Group) in the year 2016 as a part of Asia Pacific Aerospace Quality Group (APAQG) which is part of International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) formed by major Aerospace OEMs. All SIATI members are automatically members of InAQG.

Aerospace & Defence Directory

SIATI has published a unique Directory of Aerospace and Defence Companies grouping them as per capability. Directory is being revised every 2 years.

Workshop / Seminar / Short Courses

SIATI has organised several Workshops and Seminar on the subject related to new technologies in design and manufacture, export promotion, financing for R&D, utilization of renewable energy sources etc.
SIATI along with various academic institutions also conduct short courses on relevant subjects for aerospace professionals and students.

Academia Industry Interaction

SIATI enables interaction with academia and industry to support project works, Internships and placements for students as well as consultancy for Industries from academic experts for R&D.

Awards & Recognition

🏆SIATI Award for Excellence in Indigenisation

SIATI instituted this award to Industries from the year 1992 for Excellence in indigenous development/ Import Substitution of aerospace material, components structures, equipment and systems etc. The Awards are given on the basis of nominations received from the Certifying Agencies and the user organizations like DRDO, HAL, ISRO NAL, IAF etc. So far about 160 industries are recipient of these awards.

⭐SIATI Award for Lifetime Service and Achievements

This award was instituted in the year 2011 to honour eminent persons who have made significant contribution in the aerospace, R&D, Industry and Education field. The Awardees are selected by the Award Committee and the Awards are conferred during SIATI Annual General Meeting each year.

👩‍✈️SIATI Award for Women Achiever in Aerospace

SIATI constituted this award from the year 2017 to honour eminent women in Aerospace who have made great contribution. The Awardees are selected by the Award Committee and the Awards are conferred during SIATI Annual General Meeting each year.

🎓CGK Endowment Fund

CGK Endowment Fund was created in 2023 by SIATI in honour of its Founder President Dr CG Krishnadas Nair considering his immense contribution for enhancement of Aerospace Industry in the Country. The Awards are aimed to encourage Aerospace Education, Skill Development and Research by Students and young Faculties and industry professionals. Annual Awards are given for the best Published Paper or Project in the field of Aerospace Science, Engineering Technology and Management work by students, scholars, young faculty and industry professionals.
